Easter Gift Guide

Easter is coming and all the excitement of Spring is in the air.  Everyone seems to be more lively in their Easter clothes and sprouting out of their houses like the plants in their garden. Easter candy fills the baskets and hunting for easter eggs is a tradition in many households.  Add to your easter baskets a beautiful gift for others and yourself to enjoy.  I have selected a few items that are not only beautiful, but already rich in character.  As only vintage can give you.  Not to forget, White Pelican Boutique has a mens gift section and Antique bird prints.  Enjoy!

In the beginning this was to make life easier.  Now it seems we are asked to do more than ever.  This explains why there is a large draw for many to capture the simpler times.  No better way, then with vintage at home and in the part of your life you can control.  The farmhouse style is reaching increasing popularity and with good reason.

Featured Etsy Shop-Look on my Treasures

Looking for the perfect gift on the holidays or even for a house warming gift can be daunting.  Etsy is by far the best place to go for a huge selection.  But even that can be overwhelming when you don't even have an idea of what to get that special someone.  This is why I believe with a shop like Look on my Treasures you will find something.  Barbara is the owner of the shop and she has over 560 items available.  The selection is fantastic and the prices are very budget friendly.  As with any shop, there is usually a savings on shipping for orders with multiple items.  If you have questions, I am sure she has the answer.  Below is a small selection of what she has to offer.  Click on the links below each picture to go directly to her shop.  Happy browsing!

Dependent on a Computer!

There are several things that I have learned since about the first week in January.  First there is one thing that you do not want to be vintage, your computer.  When your computer dies, things go into crisis mode.  You start to realize how much you depend on your computer.
We tried an iPad thinking that would be a cheaper than buying a computer.  The iPad we found is a fantastic compliment, but only replaces a computers ability by 75%.  The picture capability for blogging and the Etsy shop was the biggest downfall.  So we had to return and purchase a computer in the end.
The second thing I learned was that my phone could keep me updated on sales and communication with my buyers.  But nothing much past that.  I am thrilled to be back.

Featured Shop of the Week-Professor Tiny

There is a wonderful Etsy shop that has an amazing selection of vintage called, Professor Tiny.  There is everything from the classic teacup and saucer to some of the most amusing finds as a fire hose nozzle.  The owner of this shop is Susan Sanford and she is based out of the San Francisco Bay area. There is more than 170 items to chose from and I can tell you first hand that she is knowledgeable and friendly. If you have questions she will answer quickly.
Susan has been very kind and thoughtful to me.  I wanted to share with everyone this hidden treasure, Professor Tiny.  With the internet, Etsy and Ebay shops around many stores get buried.  I decided to unearth this shop for more to see.  I hope that you will browse around and get to know Susan and her Professor Tiny.  To go to her shop, click on the highlighted Professor Tiny in the blog or go to http://www.etsy.com/shop/ProfessorTiny?ref=seller_info.
