Holiday Feast

Our holiday feast on Christmas night.  Artichokes with lemon butter are the kids favorite vegetable.  We then had pork loin stuffed with a grape seed oil paste of herbs, sauteed onions and crushed garlic.  Wild rice was then served on the side with a sauteed onion gravy.
I made our annual Santa bread on the side.  The Santa bread is easy to make.  Make a large bread dough recipe and shape into Santa.  I make a large recipe of bread dough out of my bread machine.  Color with egg whites and red food coloring.  The eyes were dried cherries, which I always have on hand.  Bake and serve hot with butter.  Yummy!
The feast was easy to make and several items were done ahead of time.  Great to have wine with and sparkling cider for the kids.
